Transport
Thessaloniki's airport, Makedonia (in Thermi), sits about 13 km southeast of the centre and connects to downtown by bus. Line 1 of the Thessaloniki Metro, opened in November 2024, runs about 9.6 km across 13 stations but does not yet reach the airport.
